Brand Ambassador
On 22 June 2021, a cop in the US reached out to me asking to be a “Brand Ambassador” and admittedly I was a little hesitant. I had attempted to boost sales in the past by offering free product for photos. Whoever was wearing or showing off OWA merchandise I would provide a discount code for their followers.
I hadn’t had much success in the past with this type of endeavour. I guess I was anxious to open up the US market and agreed that the cop could be an OWA Brand Ambassador.
I got a package together and sent it to the cop in the US. He acknowledged he received the package and time went by without posting.
No rush, he’s a cop and probably busy.
After some time I reached out and asked if he could post and he said he would and did put out a pretty lame post.
He said, he was tired and he would put a few things together for his Instagram and TikTok account.
Instead of doing that he messaged me and said, both the shirts I sent him were falling apart. I was shocked as I had only one customer complain about a shirt. I inspect the product before I send and to be told that two shirts were falling apart was a blatant lie.
Another few weeks go by and he reaches out to me to tell me he was wrong. The shirts were not following apart and he apologized.
He made one more post and then privatized his Instagram account. He also deleted OWA as a “friend”.
To be honest I’m hurt to be deceived by another cop. Lesson learned about trusting a TikTok cop.
